Margus started his building career already as 13 years old boy as an unskilled man on building sites and, through the studies in construction in Tallinn Construction School, TTK UAS and TalTech and constant practice in engineering, he has grown to be a top expert in the field of construction who gives advice, consults and provides expert assessments. In addition to the competencies in construction, Margus also has a degree from the institute of psychology in TalTech and economic faculty in Tartu Uni. Margus has been active in making the field of construction better and more effective for his whole life, focussing mainly on improving the organisation and processes because this is where the biggest potential for saving hides.
Margus has been working as a CEO of ACTO Consult, a head of the construction department in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communication and pulling the agenda of science-based working and innovation as a head of department in Riigi Kinnisvara AS. Lately, Margus has mainly focused on expert assessments and counselling which, due to his broad vision and rich experience, works very well. Margus is also active as a freelance trainer and teaches young engineers as a guest lecturer. Margus still believes that the construction sector can and must be made better, more effective and more science-based.
